It was a situation, I have always tried to avoid at Tottenham where they sometimes split the games only having 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday to see if your team will move on.
After playing the two Saturday games and being out of the competition and it was a long ways to come back to play a Sunday game that had no value. On top of this injuries taken during the games left us short on players.
Not wanting to leave anyone hanging we had a meeting with the convenor and 3 other teams to work out a schedule that would please the remaining teams. This is the only time we have ever had to do bow out. However, if we couldn't work it out, our team would have came back on Sunday and played short handed. No way would we ever leave teams hung up at a tournament.
