It was a super hot weekend, but the SoB Rec 50s were dealt a cold hand as they had to play up a level; playing 2 competitive 50-55 teams and a young team. (Lift Kings, Stefco and Future Steel.) However, although losing the boys gave them a game all the way.
I guess the highlight was having the Lift Kings 55 on the ropes until the 6th inning when they slipped out to win 8-6. Anytime you can keep up with that team, you've played a great game. New faces on the diamond this time round:
