House league Beaches team goes 4-0 to win it all in Keswick's first fund raising tournament. There is no doubt we had a hard hitting team at this one. For after lunch intermission, Keswick held a home run derby for the 6 competing teams.
Of the contestants entered, 3 of these were Beaches sponsored by John Plaskon with Don Bince being the hurler. The Derby winner was Norm Barlow with 3 of 5 over the fence hits in round two of the bat off. You paid $10 to enter and the winner received 40% of the total income. John Plaskon donated the winnings back to the Keswick team to help with their tourney fund raisers.
