A new division for 2007 is the Veteran games

The concept is to provide a few annual peer game days for the 70’s and those players who

no longer get invited to weekend tournament or to extra games.

Originally we were looking at a 70’s group but it evolved from there. Being 70 automatically

qualifies you to play Vet regardless of skill level, but we also take younger players who

are C or D senior league rated and then balance the teams for an even fun match.

It turns out that some 70’s (like Fred Chefero) are the strong players so balancing is important

and most  games this season had very close scores – so I think we are either lucky or on the right track.
