Beaches earned 2nd place this weekend. Not shown above - Dave Morson - Bob Bullee - Paul Holtz. About 180 softball teams descended upon the not so quiet village of Kitchener this weekend where the 2000+ softball players were the small part of the populous as the traditional German heritage Oktoberfest was in full swing. Headquarters was held at Bingemans' huge complex which offers, golf, camping and other entertainment events.

Inside the headquarters’ Oktoberfest building sat the Bars, great food buffet, Black Jack tables, Roulette Wheel and many merchandising boutiques that sold items from beer nuts to softball equipment. A connecting fenced off area hosted a reasonable size midway in a catchy Carnival atmosphere with nearby Ferris wheel and other carnie rides. Somehow, it all flowed throughout the weekend to the music of live dance bands.
