This annual Beaches' Social event is a 21 yr tradition that consists mostly of the older Beach section gathering to play a year-end Saturday morning double header at the park then move off for an afternoon of eating and socializing to complete the day.
Some 20 years ago this event was dub as "Fun Day" and the previous 20 yr were run by Bob & Vera Buckingham. As the Buckinghams step down from event coordinators the games moved from Valencia (Little Britain

Were presented with an appreciation award from all the Sons of Beaches members (middle photo). We thank you and recognize your tireless 20 yr effort presenting, what we fondly had called - the "Bucky's Bash"
Not only do Bob & Vera retire as coordinators, but our equipment manager Gord Holmes does also. However, as a final departing shot Gord presented us with his suggested SoB Team Hat for 2006. These are display in the left photo by members: Bill Jansen, Don Abram & Doug Dempsey.
