Pitcher, 1st Base: Ex-firefighter and back then, Don also played hockey for the 1954 East York Lyndhursts team. Don is one of our longest serving members, still plays on our Sunday morning league team and shows up for the Monthly Tues. exhibition games.
Honored by fellow members at the spring 2005 Tam Heather meeting, Don is presented with the life membership and the life-member's clock award.
At the time of presentation, Don had over 24 years of dedicated and unfailing service to the Toronto Sons of Beaches and has in this time held Executive Office positions as Treasurer and team manager.
There are now 6 life members in the Toronto Sons of Beaches ball club. There would have been 7, but one of our beloved founding members, Bren Maxwell passed from us on November of 2003. For more detail on the above recipients see "Members ID".
