Resident of Scarborough, Abe is an excellent Pitcher, Ump and a descent place-hitter. He Umps the Scarborough Senior day league, manages our Sunday league team and is a regular attendee of the Tues. night practice game & meeting. Abe has been a strong contributor since near the SOB inception. Now retired from work.
Honored by fellow members at the spring meeting, Don is presented with the life membership and life member's clock award.
At the time of presentation, Don had over 23 years of dedicated and unfailing service to the Toronto Sons of Beaches when bestowed life membership and has in this time held many Executive Office positions.
There were only 5 life members in the Toronto Sons of Beaches ball club when Abe was inducted. There would have been 6, but one of our beloved founding members, Bren Maxwell passed from us in November of 2003.
