We have a fun week of softball, golfing, fine dining, cocktail parties and visiting with
the Florida Beaches Softball Club. Listed are some of our haunts, directions and fine
points of the week. Our travel log provides information on driving directions and phone numbers to:

Softball Games
Exhibition Games: We play Tuesday & Thursday double headers against the Florida Beaches at the
Madeira Sports complex. Wed is for batting practice for ourselves and members in the local area
(some go golfing). If enough show we can have a short pickup game. We are getting to be such a
large travel group we needed this to fit them all in. This year the exhibition games will be held
at the Madeira Sports Complex - directions and more detail.
Tournament: is on Saturday and Sundays. Tournament Rules
In 2006 this will be held at the Westside Complex near Lake Land - details & map

American Legion - for a quick after game beer

Player Registration
You are not required to be carded to play exhibition games.
To play in the Florida Half Century (FHCA) tournaments the association
requires you to be registered. Being carded is done through our
Florida coordinator and here is more detail on this.
Airports and lodgings:
Directions to Motel. Headquarters for 2006 is the Sands Motel at
11800 Gulf Blvd. on Treasure Is. 33706. These driving directions will get you to and from Treasure Is. To/from Tampa (TPA) and the Clearwater-Saint Petersburg (PIE) International Airports.
